BSO vice chairman shot in Khuzdar

Occupied Balochistan, QUETTA: Balochistan Students Organisation (BSO) Vice Chairman Rashid Baloch was shot and critically injured in Khuzdar on Friday. Baloch was traveling to a hospital when armed motorcyclists intercepted him and fired at him. As a result, he was critically injured and shifted to the Divisional Headquarters Hospital by a passer-by.

According to hospital sources, his condition was reported to be critical and doctors were performing a surgery to save his life. After receiving reports of the assassination attempt on Baloch, political workers attacked the local police station and burnt three police vans parked inside it. Police, in order to disperse the protesters, fired at the protesters but no one was injured.

The Balochistan National Party (BNP) and the BSO has called for a complete shutter-down strike to protest against the assassination attempt on Baloch who is a prominent student leader of Khuzdar. BNP President Akhtar Mengal has condemned the incident.
