Occupied Balochistan,QUETTA - The Quetta Police after launching a crackdown on anti-social elements in the provincial capital claimed to have arrested 42 accused persons from Sariab area here on Sunday.
According to official sources, the police backed by personnel of Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) jointly raided the Mussa Colony and its adjacent areas and took into custody 42 suspects of target killings, bomb blasts, theft, robbery and terrorism.
Sources said that the accused persons were shifted to undisclosed locations for interrogation, and added that police also recovered arms during the raid.
The police had arrested dozens of accused persons from Sariab area in a massive crackdown few days back. A woman also died due to alleged torture of the police, which triggered protests in Quetta and other towns of Balochistan.
