120th Day Of Zakir Majeed’s Family Protest But No Clue Of His Whereabouts

Baloch families on constant protest for the recovery of their loved ones

Occupied Balochistan: The families of Baloch political and student activists have been on steady token protest hunger strike for the safe and early recovery of their loves ones from the custody of Pakistan military and Para-military forces.Open in new windowAmongst all the protest the longest every protest so far has been of the family of Zakir Majeed Baloch, BSO-azaad’s senior vice chairman who was abducted on 8 July 2009 by Pakistan’s intelligence agencies from Mastung. Talking to news men the sister of Zakir Majeed Baloch Dr Farzana Majeed Baloch has said that she and her family have been on protest for past four month now but to no avail so far.

The agonised Baluch sister said that “they (Pakistani security forces) are not even telling us anything the condition of Zakir Majeed Baloch let alone releasing or recovering him. We have submitted appeals to the highest court of this country, we have used all the democratic ways of protest but it seems the people sitting in Pakistan courts are deaf, dumb and blind as they cannot see our protests, hear our plea for justice and cannot speak against the atrocities of their state’s sponsored terrorism”. She said it was regrettable that the so called champions of human right were also acting as silent spectators and are turning a blind-eye on the human rights violations in Balochistan.

The sister of Zakir Majeed Baloch urged the UN and other International Human Rights Organisation to break their silence and take action against Pakistani Military and Para-military forces that are violating all international laws in occupied Balochistan. She said if her brother has committed any crime he should be given the right to a fair trial under Geneva conventions. She reiterated her appeal to Baloch Nation and Baloch Diasporas to take practical steps for safe recovery and immediate release of all Baloch abducted persons.

Meanwhile daughter of another Baloch political detainee Mr. Safeer Baloch has said that Pakistan FC (frontier corps) have abducted her father along with his two friend from Panjgur on 13 August 2010; the family has not been informed about the whereabouts of Safeer Baloch and his friend even after 30 days of their abduction. She said her father was suffering from an ongoing illness due which whole family is concern about his well being.

She has also appeal the UN and other International Human Rights groups to take notice of the abduction of Safeer Baloch, Sattar Baloch, Agha Abid Shah Baloch and thousands of other Baloch political and student activists.
Open in new windowSeparately, the protest camp for the release of Jalil Reki, Dr Deen Mohammad Baloch, Mir Ghaffar Langove, Ali Asghar Bangulzai, Sana Sangat, Maqbool Zafar Baloch and Master Yahya Baloch has entered 39th day. Moreover, the family members of Safeer Baloch, Sattar Baloch and Agha Abid Shah Baloch have been sitting on protest for past 19 days. The family of Jameel Yaqoob Baloch and Rehman Arif Baloch of BRP have also established protest camp in Pasi and Turbat.

People from different walks of life visited the protest camps of Baloch families to show their support and solidarity with the families of Baloch detainees. Talking to Media men the families have said that they have used the democratic means of protest but all in vain as they Pakistan department have no respect and value for Baloch lives. They said Wadood Raisani, Ghaffar Langov and Sana Sangat have been missing for over one year now but their families have no clue of their well being and conditions.

The Baloch families appeal the civilised nations of the world, International Media and International Human Rights Organisations to take notice of the murder of Baloch detains and help Baloch families to raise their voice for the safe recovery of their loved ones.
